History- November 13, 1993: Dong Thap Muoi Rural Joint Stock Bank officially started operation under Business License No. 0045/NH-GP granted by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam
- July 2005: Vietnam National Petroleum (Petrolimex) and Saigon Security Incorporation (SSI) officially became major shareholders of the Bank
- January 12, 2007: The Bank was permitted to convert into an urban joint stock bank under Decision No. 125 QD-NHNN
- February 8, 2007: The Bank officially changed name to Petrolimex Group Commercial Joint Stock Bank (PG Bank) in accordance with Decision No. 368/ GD-NHNN by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.
- June 26, 2007: Grand opening of PG Bank Hanoi – the Bank’s first full service branch
- October 10, 2007: Chartered capital officially reached VND 500 billion
- December 12, 2007: Grand opening of PG Bank Saigon – the first branch in the South
- December 17, 2007: Grand opening of PG Bank Da Nang – the first branch in the Central
- December 19, 2008: Chartered capital officially reached VND 1,000 billion
- October 13, 2009: Officially launched of Flexicard – All-in-one multi-function card with two initial capabilities of debit and petroleum prepaid. Flexicard is the first and only prepaid petroleum card in Vietnam
- December 25, 2009: Officially being granted permission to reallocate Head Office from Dong Thap to Hanoi by the State Bank Governor under Decision No. 3209/QD-NHNN
- December 31, 2010: Chartered capital officially increased to VND 2.000 billion
Achievements- Honorably being awarded “A Rating” by the State Bank of Vietnam in 2007, 2008 and 2009
- Honorably being presented with “Vietnam Excellent Brand” by Trade Promotion Agency of Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Economics News in 3 consecutive years from 2008 to 2010
- Honorably being awarded “Vietnam Top Trade Services” by Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2009 and 2010
